Niki Gibbs

Niki is an artist and animator who works in a wide range of digital and physical media, most recently exploring the alchemy of ceramics. Resident in Islington, Niki has been involved in the campaign for a transformative legacy Women’s Building to be built on the site of the former Holloway Prison which was closed in 2016. She has had access to the prison through her work for the campaign, her recent work includes ‘Her Bed’, a homage to Tracey Emin’s ‘My Bed’, drawing attention to the complex issues that women face in society and the thousands of individual stories that that bed could tell.
