Joanne Pudney AKA 7

Towers and Flowers:

 

The key themes for this residency are Isolation and Silence contributing to the unraveling of the individual.

 

Symbolism is used to emphasize the themes in the form of the Tower for isolation. Flowers are used with their Victorian flower language offering secret and silent messages. 

 

The Victorian Prison Punishment of Separation and Silence will be defined by mask imagery.

 

Biography

Joanne Pudney. Lives in Tidworth, Wiltshire, Pudney is an emerging Disabled artist. Pudney is a former Police Officer with British Transport Police.  Pudney completed Fine Art BA (Hons), Howards Gardens (now UWIC) Cardiff in 1999, Pudney gained an MA in Illustration Falmouth (via distance).  Pudney is an experimental Artist. Pudney works through the mediums of drawing, painting, collage, and 3 Dimensional pieces. Pudney exhibited at the Salisbury Arts Centre, ‘For What it’s Worth’ which was organized by Outside In.
